PERIPHERAL AND CENTRAL ROUTES

PERIPHERAL ROUTE is a persuasion which only proposes a shorthand approach to the viewers. It does not elaborate the message of the ad. The viewer can immediately accept or reject the ad depending on the attributes or the object that the ad uses. The viewers will only confide in the different objects that the ad shows. Like the artist who endorses the product, the animation they are using, etc.

THE COCA COLA COMMERCIAL

This commercial was very cool. It used animated characters. The commercial features a coca cola's vending machine and there were were animated creatures inside the machine.

This commercial is a peripheral route of persuasion because it catches the viewers' attention not because it contains factual information. It catches the viewers' attention because of the animated characters that had participated in the commercial. This commercial became famous and became the talk of the town for a couple of months. The viewers enjoyed the production of the commercial but it did not changed the viewers' attitude.

CENTRAL ROUTE elaborates the message of the ad. The viewer is persuade because he/she can carefully think the message that is being presented by the ad. This route scrutinized the contents of ideas if this is factual and has a true merit. Central route focuses more in the message of the ad than the objects or elements that is used.

WOW MAGIC SING TV AD

This is a videoke product. The endorser was Regine Velasquez, the Asia's Songbird. This features the product as well the Philippines.

This commercial is a central route of persuasion because it does not only advertise the product, it also promotes the beautiful destinations here in the Philippines. This commercial can change a Filipino's perception towards his country. He can infer that Philippines is not totally devastated, there are still delightful sights in the country that he can go to.
